Gastro influencers got to know the tourism potential

In order to develop the gastro tourism potential of Georgia, the National Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development hosted international gastro influencers. 

"At the invitation of the National Tourism Administration, high-ranking international experts and influencers in the field of gastronomy visited Georgia. They play a major role in the development of gastronomic trends worldwide. Their visit to Georgia is very important, the guests got to know Georgia's gastronomic tourism potential, and as a result, our country will be in the focus of the international media once again," said the head of the National Tourism Administration, Maya Omiadze.

Stephanie Kim, Virginia Newton and Joao Vengorovis got acquainted with Georgian cuisine and wine, visited food establishments in Tbilisi and Kakheti.  

"In Georgia, I was very impressed by the people and hospitality. I think Georgian gastronomy has great potential. We were in the market, restaurant In Bish, we traveled to the wine region, Kakheti, where we tasted wine that has a long history. It's a privilege when you have such a strong wine tradition, it can have a big impact.   Georgian cuisine deserves to be known all over the world. You can discover a lot of things in Georgia and I really want to travel to your country again", - says the author, photographer and brand strategy consultant Joao Vengorovis.

The main goal of the influencers' visit is to correctly position Georgia on the world gastronomic map as a high-quality, authentic and different gastro-tourist destination.
