Current situation on highways - February 28  

According to the information of the Highways Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia, according to the National Environment Agency, the level of avalanche danger on the Gudauri-Kobi section of the internationally important Mtskheta-Stefantsminda-Larsi highway is high, which is why all types of motor vehicles are temporarily prohibited on the said section.

As a result of intensive cleaning works, the road has already been cleared and traffic for light vehicles has been restored to Gudauri.

As for other directions:

Due to the danger of avalanches, heavy snow, poor visibility and blizzard, all types of car traffic are temporarily restricted: on the Verona-Telavi section, on the Nichbisi-Didgori-Didi Toneti highway, on the Paravani pass, on the Batumi-Akhaltsikhi road resort Goderdzi-Utkisubani section, on the Kala-Ushguli and Mele-Lsdil sections.

Due to intense snow and difficult meteorological conditions, the movement of vehicles with trailers and semi-trailers is limited: on the Gomi-Sachkhere section, Koda-Fartskh On the sections of Isi-Manglisi-Tsalka-Ninotsminda highway km1-km42 and km110-km146, Akhaltsikhe-Ninotsminda and Akhalkalaki-Kartsakhi roads, Sachkhere-Oni road, Nakerala pass and Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdil highway section Jvari-Ushguli.

Vehicle traffic is free on the rest of the highways.
