Freeride World Tour: Georgia Pro 2026 will be held in Austria
With the involvement of the "Mountain Tracks Agency" (MTA) of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and the decision of the Freeride World Tour, a competition will be held on behalf of Georgia in the mountains of Austria. The founders of the tour have decided that Georgia Pro 2026 will be held in Austria, namely in Kuhtai-Innsbruck, only in the current season.
The competition is scheduled for February 26 or 27, with the exact date to be confirmed depending on mountain conditions. The Raiders will again have the opportunity to fight for the points that were originally supposed to be won in Svaneti, Georgia.
The competition to be held on Mount Tetnuld in Georgia was canceled due to unstable snow cover on the recommendation of official delegates and international mountain safety experts. As a result of the assessment, it was established that the natural conditions existing in the specified period did not provide a full guarantee for the safe conduct of the event. The main priority for MTV and FWT is to maintain high standards and ensure the safety of participants. It is alarming.
