Revaz Sokhadze opened the Tbilisi International Investment Forum
The Minister of Infrastructure of Georgia, Revaz Sokhadze, officially opened the 2026 Tbilisi International Hospitality Investment Forum (Hospitality Investment Forum Tbilisi 2026) and addressed the participants.
The forum is a professional platform aimed at developing the hospitality industry and strengthening international investment cooperation. The event brings together hotel operators, international brands, developers, investors, financial institutions and public sector representatives. They discuss current and planned investment projects in Georgia and the region, opportunities for market expansion and prospects for capital deployment.
Within the framework of the forum, panel discussions and presentations are held on the investment potential of Georgian tourism, on the mechanisms of transforming international interest into real investment, on the development of the premium and luxury segment, as well as on market trends and evaluation tools in the sector. In his speech, the minister noted that the hospitality industry is one of the most dynamic areas of the Georgian economy, which creates jobs, strengthens regions and increases the country's international competitiveness. According to him, hospitality is part of the country's identity and not only an economic sector.
According to Sokhadze, in order to support economic growth and sustainable tourism, the Government of Georgia and the Ministry of Infrastructure are implementing large-scale projects. International airports are expanding, along with road projects, emphasis is placed on urban renewal of regions and four-season infrastructure arrangement. Updated locations and proper water supply systems open up new investment opportunities for the private sector.
Revaz Sokhadze emphasized Georgia's ambition to become a regional hub where tourism, hospitality and modern infrastructure develop as a single system. He also spoke about the role of the state as a reliable party Niorze, which creates a transparent and predictable business environment, reduces bureaucratic barriers, promotes public-private partnerships and actively develops infrastructure.
"Georgia creates an open and predictable business environment, where investment means not only commercial success, but also a contribution to the country's development. Today is the right time to create new tourist destinations and international level infrastructure together. Today is the right time for investment, cooperation and development," the minister said in his speech.
