Tbilisi Airport served the 5,000,000th passenger

Tbilisi International Airport hosted the 5,000,000th passenger, which is an unprecedented event in the history of this airport and the civil aviation of Georgia in general. The fifth millionth passenger was French citizen Pierre Beret, who flew from Tbilisi to Paris. Organized by TAV Georgia, the managing company of Tbilisi and Batumi airports, a symbolic event was held at Tbilisi International Airport to reward the fifth millionth passenger.

In terms of passenger flow, this year there are record figures in both Tbilisi and Batumi international airports. According to the calculations of TAV Georgia, in 2025 Tbilisi and Batumi airports will close with 6.6 million passengers. According to the data of 11 months, compared to the same period of the previous year, the growth in Tbilisi is 13%, and in Batumi 30%. Both airports managed by TAV Georgia handled a total of more than 6,147,000 passengers during the 11 months of 2025.   August 12 was a record for Tbilisi International Airport, when it received and saw off J There are 97 flights with 21,959 passengers. "Today is December 5, and we served the fifth millionth passenger at our airport during the year. On October 9th, we celebrated a record number in Batumi, where for the first time in history, the millionth passenger was recorded annually. This is the beginning of a very important new stage for our company. Especially in light of the fact that this year TAV Georgia has completed its 20th year of operation in Georgia, and for comparison, I will tell you that exactly 20 years ago, When TAV Airports started its operations in Georgia, the annual passenger flow was 540,000. I would like to mention here that our company has already served more than 50 million passengers in Tbilisi and Batumi OBS and our company are ready to make additional investments in the development of the airports under our management."  - TAV Georgia General Manager Tea Zakaradze says.
