Starbucks may enter Georgia

According to Mikheil Khidureli, director of the "Make in Georgia" agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, the agency has been intensively cooperating with the Alshaya Group regarding the entry of the "Starbucks" brand into the Georgian market. 

"The issue of the entry of the Starbucks brand into the Georgian market has moved to an active stage. In 2025, a high-ranking delegation of the company visited Georgia several times. In close coordination with the agency, an in-depth study of the market, viewing of locations and meetings with a potential partner are underway," said Mikheil Khidureli.

According to the director of "Make in Georgia", the market research process includes the assessment of Tbilisi, Batumi and other large cities, where the company is considering the possibility of opening several facilities.

"The Embassy of Georgia in the State of Kuwait is actively involved in the process. After the Alshaya Group makes the final decision, the agency office together with the company He will issue a national joint statement", said the director of the agency.
